Incentive Consultancy, part of Incentive FM Group, were chosen to help further improve the standard of cleanliness at London Luton Airport (LLA). It supported LLA’s recent £150 million investment to upgrade the airport and increase capacity by 50% to 18 million passengers by 2020. The new contract further strengthens Incentive FM Consultancy’s growing portfolio of high profile transportation hubs.
Under the terms of the agreement, Incentive supported the OJEU procurement programme and operations teams in drafting new specification and service level agreements to ensure that tenders for the new cleaning contract, which started in March 2018, support further cleaning improvements. The company also oversaw the mobilisation and drafting of the new contract.
Through initial client workshops and review of the current contracted arrangements , a new performance based specification was drawn up, refined, agreed and uploaded to the clients procurement portal. The clients procurement team worked closely with Incentive through out the programme, managing the commercial returns whilst Incentive provided specialist technical and process support during familiarisation walkrounds, tender discovery rfi’s, scoring tender returns, attendance at tender presentations, drafting of contract and managing the contract mobiliation over a bank holiday weekend and throughout the first month of the contract.
LLA is one of the UK’s largest airports and is one of the fastest growing airports in Europe, carrying more than 15 million passengers in 2017. In response to the continued accelerated growth, the airport has undertaken a large development project, including redesigning the terminal by adding new shops and restaurants, as well as the transport infrastructure.
Kimberly Kennedy at LLA, said: “We are committed to delivering a more efficient and enjoyable experience for our passengers, therefore we require a world class cleaning solution. Incentive Consultancy impressed us with their confidence to drive change and their exceptional industry knowledge. We have enjoyed working with them.”
